- Check our website for offerings, and decide what your group would like to do. If you are unsure or have questions, our staff will assist you in planning your day when you call to book your field trip.
- Select teachers or adult chaperones to be with your students at a ratio of one adult per 10 students for grades 2–12, and one adult per five students for grades PK–1. These adults are admitted at the “Required Adult” rate. Chaperones beyond these requirements are admitted at the “Additional Adults” rate.
- Call the Group Reservations Office at 412.237.3400, then press 7. Reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- You’ll receive a confirmation packet in the mail. This packet includes your visit schedule, the number of attendees, and a visit contract.
- Return your visit contract. Carnegie Science Center accepts checks and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). Groups making reservations within two weeks of the visit date must guarantee their reservation with a credit card.
- When you arrive on the day of your visit, come to the Group Reception window at the Science Center’s ground floor bus drop-off area. Be sure to bring the balance due for your visit.

Important! Because we offer special discounts and privileges to groups, membership benefits cannot be applied. Members attending with a group pay the group rate.
