2. Review our chaperone requirements. Carnegie Science Center requires adults (teachers or volunteers) to chaperone your students at a ratio of one adult per five students for grades PK-1 and one adult per 10 students for grades 2-12. These adults are admitted at the “Required Adults” rate. Chaperones beyond these requirements are admitted at the “Additional Adults” rate.

3. Call the Group Reservation line at 412.237.3410, Our reservationist will take your information, answer your questions and schedule your visit. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Call early to ensure that you get your first choice for dates and times.

4. You’ll receive a confirmation packet in the mail.
You’ll receive a confirmation packet in the mail that includes your visit schedule, the number of attendees and tips on how to make your field trip run smoothly. It also includes a visit contract. Please review this information in detail.

5. Return your deposit and visit contract.
New this year, Carnegie Science Center requires a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 50% of the total price for your visit. The deposit due date will be noted on your contract. Carnegie Science Center accepts checks and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) for deposits. Groups making reservations less than two weeks before the visit date must guarantee their reservation with a credit card. Your deposit guarantees that there will be space for you in the experiences you select.

6. That’s it!
When you arrive on your visit day, come to the Group Reception window at Carnegie Science Center’s ground floor bus drop-off area. Be sure to bring the balance due for your visit in the form of a single check, credit card or cash (large bills only).
