Inspire. Explore. Discover.

New!
Opening October 17, 2009
If a Starfish Can Grow a New Arm, Why Can’t I?

Explore the basic biology of your cells and of animals that can re-grow body parts. Try your hand at cool, interactive experiments as you discover the science of tissue engineering and witness the future of regenerative medicine.
This exhibit is funded by a Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Center for Research Resources, a component of the National Institutes of Health.

Exploration Station
Hands-on exploration encourages curiosity and lays the foundation for science basics and problem solving skills. Interactive play includes designing an electric circuit, launching rockets, directing water flow, and covers the educational principles of sound, aerodynamics, the environment, physics, and more. CAUTION: You may get wet! Learn more

SeaScape Aquarium
Which kinds of animals live in a coral reef? What is symbiosis? Discover answers to these questions and many more at this underwater encounter. Our 2,000-gallon coral reef exhibit contains more than 400 species of plants and animals, including seahorses, corals, and live mangrove trees. Explore with magnifying glasses and a video microscope, and witness live feedings several times a day. Learn more
